Welcome to the reality American children, teachers, and parents live every single day. Except they do not get the protocols. They do not get the security detail. And not all of them get to go home.

They Felt It for Ninety Seconds

Joyce White Vance said what many of us were thinking: she listened to seasoned reporters describe their terror at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and immediately thought of America’s children. So did every parent who has ever kissed a kid goodbye at a school door and spent the day watching their phone.

Last night’s fear was real. Nobody dismisses that. But here is what last night was not: it was not hours. It was not silence so complete you could hear your own heartbeat. It was not crouching in a locked, darkened classroom for three hours while your phone dies and you cannot call your mother. It was not a teacher pressing her body against a door and telling twenty-three children to be very, very quiet.

That is a Tuesday in America.

What the Parents Were Doing

While everyone at the Washington Hilton ran for cover, they had something no parent of a child in an active shooter situation ever gets: real-time information. They could see. They could move. They knew where their people were.

Parents of children in school shootings wait. They wait outside yellow police tape, on sidewalks, in parking lots, refreshing news apps and texting into silence. They do not know if their child is hiding, injured, or gone. They stand there for hours, held back from the only thing that matters, not knowing if their family is still whole.

Last night lasted ninety seconds. That waiting lasts a lifetime.

What Teachers Actually Do

Let us be precise about what we ask of teachers in this country. We give them thirty students, a classroom, and in many states, a handgun training brochure. Then we tell them to be the last line of defense between a shooter and the children in their care.

Teachers run drills where weapons are pointed at them without warning, to simulate the real thing. They rehearse how to barricade a door with a desk, how to keep a child from screaming, how to triage a wound. They do this and then they teach fractions and read aloud and make sure every kid feels seen. They carry the weight home every night.

Last night, Washington felt a fraction of that weight for ninety seconds and called it terrifying. They were right. Now multiply it by every school day of every year, strip away the security detail, and imagine doing it without a panic button or a plan.

The Part Nobody Televises

Here is what cameras never follow: the child who cannot go back. The one who sits in the parking lot shaking on the first day of school the following year. The one who flinches at every locker slam, every car backfire, every fire drill. The one in therapy for years, learning to trust a building again.

Fred Guttenberg buried his daughter Jaime at Parkland and has spent every day since demanding accountability. “If you were horrified last night watching our elected leaders run and scramble because of gun violence,” he wrote, “just imagine how my daughter Jaime felt in school running from an active shooter before she was killed.”

The trauma does not end when the shooting stops. It moves in. It stays. It reshapes every ordinary moment of a child’s life into something that requires courage just to survive.

The Ballroom Excuse

Before the echo of last night’s gunshots faded, MAGA voices flooded X with a single message: this is why we need Trump’s ballroom. Tom Fitton. Jack Posobiec. Libs of TikTok. Meghan McCain. A coordinated chorus converting terror into a talking point for a $400 million vanity project that demolishes the historic East Wing of the White House.

Here is the fact they are counting on you not to know: the White House Correspondents’ Dinner is not a White House event. The White House Correspondents’ Association, an independent press organization, runs it every year at a hotel. A ballroom inside the White House perimeter would never host it. The excuse is not just weak. It is a lie dressed up as logic.

As Reverend Benjamin Cremer wrote: “I just can’t imagine wanting an entire secure ballroom for one man and not wanting gun reform for every child in America.”

Neither can we.

$400 Million and Not One Vote

The ballroom carries a $400 million price tag, financed through anonymous donors, halted by a federal judge, and championed by a party that has blocked every meaningful gun safety bill for two decades. Universal background checks. Red flag laws. Assault weapons restrictions. Safe storage requirements. All of it killed, filibustered, or never brought to a vote.

As of early 2026, the Gun Violence Archive had already counted 78 mass shootings in the year’s first weeks. Everytown for Gun Safety tracks gunfire on school grounds because it happens so often someone has to keep count. Gun violence remains the leading cause of death for American children. Not cancer. Not car accidents. Bullets.

One gilded room for one man. Not one vote for 4,400 children.

You are not imagining it. You are not “overreacting.” The numbers moved backward.

For the first time in decades, the gender pay gap widened two years in a row; women working full-time, year-round went from earning 84 cents on the dollar in 2022 to 83 cents in 2023 and 81 cents in 2024, according to new AAUW analysis and Census-based Equal Pay Day data. Equal Pay Day 2026 lands on March 26 because that is how far into this year women have to work to catch up to what men earned in 2025, as the Census Bureau and AAUW’s calendar now spell out. That is not progress; that is a warning.

They Call It A Gap. It Is Theft.

The people who profit from this gap want you thinking it is a math glitch or your personal budgeting failure. It is neither. The Census Bureau’s Equal Pay Day brief shows women working full-time, year-round earned 81 cents per dollar in 2024, down from 83 cents the year before. The Bureau of Labor Statistics backs it up from another angle: women’s median weekly earnings in 2024 were 83 percent of men’s.

Different methods produce 81 percent, 83 percent, 76 percent, or 85 percent, depending on whether you look at full-time year-round work, all workers, weekly earnings, or hourly pay, but every serious dataset points one way: a gap that persists, and in the last two years, a gap that widened. AAUW’s Equal Pay Day calendar now marks March 26 for women overall at 81 percent for full-time, year-round workers and roughly 76 percent when you include all workers.

The Backslide Was Engineered

This backslide did not fall from the sky. It tracks with the same forces women name every time you ask: occupational segregation, caregiving penalties, the devaluation of “women’s work,” and discrimination in hiring, promotion, and pay-setting, documented in AAUW’s pay gap report and Pew’s long-term analysis. Recent research connects the renewed widening to cuts in the federal workforce, attacks on DEI, pressure on child care and home care systems, and immigration crackdowns that hollow out the paid care economy while shoving more unpaid labor back onto women, as detailed by the Economic Policy Instituteand the National Women’s Law Center.

When agencies that enforce equal-pay and anti-discrimination laws get gutted, those laws still sit on paper but lose teeth in real life, a pattern chronicled by The 19th News. When child care collapses, women cut hours, step off promotion tracks, or leave higher-wage jobs entirely, a dynamic echoed in care economy research. The pay gap worsened because structural inequality keeps doing the work of discrimination for employers.

Equal Pay Day Is A Battle Line

The good news: the same data that maps the damage points to the fixes. Research from the Institute for Women’s Policy Research and Equal Pay Today shows the strongest tools include paid family and medical leave, affordable child care, higher minimum wages, pay transparency, stronger overtime and scheduling rules, and easier union organizing. Those changes raise the floor, shrink caregiving penalties, and make it harder for bosses to hide unequal pay behind secrecy and retaliation.

Equal Pay Day cannot just be a grim hashtag. It is a line in the sand. Your lane might be sharing the 81-cent stat with someone who still insists the gap “basically closed,” pushing your city or state for pay transparency and child care funding, or backing candidates who treat equal pay as infrastructure, not a slogan.

They need women confused, isolated, and tired. We will answer with clarity, solidarity, and discipline. Share this, talk about it, drag it into your workplace and your group chats. Then tell your lawmakers, out loud and often: close the gap, or we will replace you.

The SAVE America Act is a sweeping federal bill that would upend how Americans register and vote, especially by mail, under the banner of “election integrity.” It passed the House in February and is now in the Senate, where it requires 60 votes to move forward. On paper it targets a virtually nonexistent problem—noncitizen voting—which studies and state reviews consistently find to be exceptionally rare, while shifting the burden and the cost of “proving” eligibility onto ordinary voters.

ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND

At its core, the bill rewrites voter registration by forcing every voter to show “documentary proof of citizenship” in person—typically a passport, certified birth certificate, or naturalization certificate—to get on or stay on the rolls. Driver’s licenses, REAL IDs in most states, military and veterans IDs, and student IDs do not qualify, and there is no national rule for what happens when the name on your citizenship document doesn’t match your current legal name.

That gap hits married women and anyone who changed their name especially hard: roughly 69 million married women have a birth certificate that no longer matches their current name, and the bill gives them no guaranteed way to use that document without navigating a patchwork of state rules and “bridge” paperwork that local officials are encouraged to scrutinize or reject.

Crucially, the SAVE America Act functions like a modern poll tax: there is no federal funding or free alternative for the documents it requires, and in the real world, those documents cost money—roughly 130–165 dollars for a passport, fees for certified birth certificates, and more than 500 dollars to replace a naturalization certificate.

At the same time, it layers on strict ID-copy rules for mail voting—requiring voters to print and enclose a copy of a government photo ID both when requesting a ballot and when sending it back—which would effectively dismantle successful all-mail systems in states like Oregon and Colorado and create new hurdles for seniors, disabled voters, rural communities, and low-income people without easy printer or copier access.

Voting-rights advocates warn that, taken together, these costs and paperwork traps would disenfranchise millions of fully eligible Americans—not because they’re not citizens, but because the process is designed to make it harder and more expensive to exercise a fundamental right.

Authoritarianism Is Architecture

Authoritarianism does not rise because people are tired. It rises because it is organized.

It builds media ecosystems, coordinates narratives, trains messengers, floods the zone, funds amplification, and protects its candidates. It builds infrastructure.

Too often, we respond with vibes. We rage. We repost. We doomscroll. We wait for someone else to fix it.

That ends here.

History does not reward outrage. It rewards organization.

History Leaves Instructions

Chile did not defeat a dictator with vibes. In 1988, voters faced a regime that controlled media and ruled through fear. They trained poll watchers, registered voters, negotiated television time, and counted every ballot. They voted anyway. They watched anyway. They won anyway.

Last Sunday, I broke down how the 1988 “No” campaign turned discipline into democratic transition in Courage Is Contagious: How Ordinary People Beat Authoritarians. The lesson is not sentimental. It is operational. They built systems strong enough to withstand fear.

Poland did not dismantle a one-party state with hope alone. Solidarity built underground presses, moved leaflets by hand, and turned factories into organizing hubs. When martial law came, they decentralized. When leaders were jailed, they adapted. Tanks rolled. The network held.

Serbia did not topple Milošević with outrage posts. Otpor trained thousands in nonviolent discipline, unified opposition factions, registered voters, and monitored polling places. They made cheating too costly to sustain. They relied on coordination, not noise.

This is the pattern: authoritarian power is structured. Democratic resistance must be structured. Anything less is surrender disguised as commentary.

The Digital Battlefield

In 2026, the underground press is digital. The leaflet is a post. The organizing meeting happens in group chats and Zoom rooms. Narrative dominance shapes elections long before ballots are cast.

If they build disinformation machines, we build truth networks.

If they coordinate amplification, we coordinate faster.

If they invest in infrastructure, so do we.

Because if we do not organize, they consolidate. Power never sits still. It either expands or it is constrained.

In Houston, Three Keys Coffee treats every bag of beans like a love letter to Black culture and a direct challenge to sanitized, apolitical coffee branding.

Three Keys is a Black-owned specialty coffee roastery rooted in jazz, Black history, and community. Culture is not a side project. It is the foundation. They use their platform to highlight racial justice causes, uplift other Black creators, and support community organizations through partnerships and donation campaigns tied to product releases and events.

They use profits to keep their doors open for grassroots groups who need space to gather, learn, and organize.

This is what democratic infrastructure looks like when large institutions retreat. Worn chairs. Radical books. People who refuse silence.

• Become the next node. You do not need a storefront to matter. You have a feed, a voice, a group chat, a neighborhood. Use them. Make your corner of the internet and your corner of town hostile terrain for authoritarianism.

Democracy does not live only in courtrooms and capitols. It lives in soap shops, roasteries, and co-ops that refuse silence. House Republicans are pushing the SAVE Act and its rebranded versions, a dangerous set of bills designed to make voting harder for millions of eligible Americans.

Let’s be clear: non-citizen voting is already illegal.

This bill does nothing to protect elections. It exists to disenfranchise voters and suppress turnout.

What the SAVE Act Will Do

The SAVE Act will require Americans to present specific citizenship documents, like a passport or an original birth certificate, just to register to vote or update their registration.

That sounds simple until you look at the facts:

• More than 150 million U.S. citizens don’t have a passport

• 21 million Americans don’t have ready access to a birth certificate

• Birth certificates often don’t match current legal names, especially for married women

• Online voter registration, mail registration, and voter registration drives would effectively be dismantled

This isn’t election security.

It’s a mass voter purge dressed up as “reform.”

Who This Bill Hurts Most

The SAVE Act will disproportionately block eligible voters, including:

• Married women who’ve changed their last names

• Military families, especially those born overseas

• Tribal citizens, whose IDs often don’t list place of birth

• Rural voters who rely on online and mail registration

• Low-income and working-class Americans

• LGBTQ+ Americans, particularly trans voters with updated legal documents

• Natural disaster survivors who’ve lost documents

• Communities of color, targeted by intimidation and misinformation

Kansas tried this already. The result? 31,000 eligible citizens blocked from voting.

This is not hypothetical. This is the plan.

Authoritarians try to own symbols because symbols move people faster than policy memos ever could. Symbols tell us who belongs, who stands together, and who refuses to disappear.

That’s why they police colors.

That’s why they obsess over clothing.

That’s why they panic when resistance becomes visible.

Right now, something small but unmistakable is happening in public space.

Red hats are showing up again.

Not the mass-produced red cap that became shorthand for grievance and cruelty. Something older. Handmade. Pointed. Tasselled. Worn on purpose.

We’ve seen this before.

When Visible Unity Became Illegal

During World War II, Norwegians living under Nazi occupation found ways to resist without weapons. One of those ways was simple and public: they wore red knitted hats.

Everyone understood the message. We are still here. We do not consent.

The Nazis understood it too. The hats became so effective as a signal of unity that the occupation government moved to criminalize them, eventually banning red wool caps as symbols of national unity.

That fact matters.

You don’t outlaw yarn unless visible solidarity threatens your control.

The hats worked because they broke isolation. They let people recognize each other on the street without speaking. They told strangers, you’re not alone.

Why Red Is Showing Up Again Now

Fast forward to the present.

After ICE escalated enforcement in Minnesota, terrorizing immigrant communities and killing community members, people did what resistance movements always do. We organized. We watched out for each other. We refused silence.

And we reached for a symbol that carries history.

I’ve been in the trenches on social media battling against MAGA propaganda for a decade now.

DemCast and I are sharing this as we head into a new year because it feels like an offering, not a sermon. You don’t have to be religious or spiritual to connect with what’s happening here. This walk isn’t about belief. It’s about how we treat one another when no one’s keeping score.

We will be sharing videos and moments from the monks’ journey as they continue walking, and you’re welcome to pass them along. Think of them as small pauses in the day — reminders of what patience, kindness, and shared humanity can look like in real life.

In a loud and divided moment, this walk offers something quietly radical: people choosing presence over performance and care over contempt, one careful step at a time.

The Walk for Peace began with a simple, radical question: what would happen if a small group of Buddhist monks crossed an entire country on foot, carrying nothing but presence, prayer, and a willingness to suffer just enough to remind the rest of us what peace feels like?

This year, about twenty monks set out from the Huong Dao temple in Fort Worth, Texas, beginning a 2,300-mile pilgrimage to Washington, D.C. that will take roughly 120 days and carry them through ten states. As the monks moved steadily forward, their arrival in Georgia drew quiet attention not because of spectacle, but because of stillness. They walk in sandals. They often eat one meal a day. They sleep wherever kindness allows. They rely entirely on strangers.

Wherever they pass, people respond in the same way. In LaGrange, Georgia, hundreds gathered at a local church after word spread that the monks had arrived. A community organizer described the visit as “inspiring hope” in a divided time. The monks didn’t argue. They didn’t persuade. They walked, bowed, and listened. That was enough.

In Peachtree City, residents, business owners, and city leaders turned out on a gray morning to greet a quiet line of orange robes moving slowly down an ordinary road. A city doesn’t always get to choose its symbols. In that moment, the symbol wasn’t a flag or a slogan. It was patience, made visible.

The impact shows up most clearly in small, intimate encounters. One widely shared video shows a venerable monk kneeling to hug and bless a little boy by the roadside, a moment the child’s family described as unforgettable. Another clip captures the steady rhythm of the walk itself, robes moving forward as people pause and watch, something that feels like a living meditation. Those who spend time alongside the monks often describe leaving calmer and more grounded, calling the experience “soul-touching” and deeply human, as reflected in one such account. And if you’ve seen the long, silent line advancing down the road, you understand why that image continues to travel, quietly stopping people mid-scroll.

Community leaders hosting the walk have been clear about its purpose. Messages shared along the route insist the pilgrimage “is not political. It is not divisive. It is a walk for peace, for healing, for unity, and for hope,” a sentiment echoed as towns across Georgia opened churches, sidewalks, and streets to welcome the monks, as seen in this moment of arrival. The organizers themselves describe each step as a living prayer meant to awaken the peace already inside the people they meet, a message they continue to share through videos from the road.

Watching from afar, many people sound surprised by their own emotions. Some admit they are crying as they watch the monks walk from Texas toward D.C., saying the crowds lining the roads prove people do not want hate, reflections shared among supporters in posts like these. Others keep sharing clips and reactions as the journey unfolds, part of a growing stream of responses now filling feeds and timelines, including this broader collection.

The monks are not asking us to walk 2,300 miles. They are asking something harder: to put one peaceful step in front of another in our own lives. To choose kindness when indifference feels easier. To treat our commutes, our feeds, and our neighborhoods the way they treat the open road, as places to practice compassion.

As the New Year begins, their message feels less symbolic and more practical. Peace is not a destination. It’s a daily practice. Their pilgrimage will end in Washington, but the Walk for Peace continues every time we decide, in the midst of chaos, to let our next step be a living prayer for the world.

And as they keep walking, we will keep sharing the videos and moments from their journey, not as a religious message, but as a shared human experience we can learn from, pass along, and carry into the year ahead.

Sylvia’s message was simple and devastating: being an immigrant in the United States right now is terrifying. Hearts stay in a constant state of panic. Parents are afraid to leave their homes. People are being snatched away on the way to see their newborns in the NICU. And even in that fear, she used her voice to say what so many are thinking: white people and non Latino allies, we need you. We need you to take more of this weight.

Those of us who are not under direct threat cannot pretend we are neutral observers. Many of us are here because, generations ago, someone in our family ran for their life and this country, however imperfectly, opened a door. A father who left Argentina, put on a U.S. Army uniform, became a psychiatrist, and fought for mental health and insurance reform. A great grandfather who escaped pogroms with almost nothing and built a business that hired immigrants across cultures at fair wages. These stories are not sentimental background. They are receipts. Our families survived because someone, somewhere, chose to make room instead of closing the door.

Now a regime is working overtime to slam that door shut and punish anyone who made it through. That is not a policy difference. It is cruelty as strategy. It is designed to make immigrants so scared, so tired, and so overwhelmed that they stop fighting back and stop asking for rights that should already be theirs.

Here is the hard truth: it cannot be on immigrants to fix this. Research shows that when people with more privilege confront bias, others in their group are more likely to listen and change. White people talking to white people about racism and xenophobia is not optional. It is a moral obligation. DemCast exists for exactly this moment. Our job is not simply to raise awareness. Our job is to turn Sylvia’s trembling voice into a thousand echoes that reach the neighbors, cousins, coworkers, and classmates who still have a choice about which side they are on.

• Share at least three immigrant centered stories this week on your platforms. Center immigrant voices and demands and add a caption that calls in white voters to act, not simply sympathize.

• Join the Digital Drumbeat channels and pick at least one immigrant focused piece of content each day to boost. Repost, stitch, duet, quote tweet, share in your group chats, or drop it into your local organizing Slack.

• Challenge one person in your real life who is drifting toward apathy or cruelty. Not with a lecture, but with a line in the sand: I will not stand by while families are torn apart in my name.

• If you are a content creator, pitch yourself to organizations trying to reach white audiences. Tell them you are willing to take the hits so immigrants do not have to keep reliving their trauma for clicks.

Bo is six. He loves books and disappears into fantasy while the real world keeps testing him. He also lives with a rare disease and depends on Medicaid to stay safe. Without that coverage, his parents face bankruptcy, homelessness, and the possibility of institutionalizing him. His life reveals a truth many Americans are only beginning to confront. When the Trump administration took power in January, leaders did not trim budgets. They targeted children’s bodies, health, and futures with intent.

Falsehoods Take the Place of Public Health

In September, Donald Trump told parents there was “no reason” to give newborns the hepatitis B vaccine. Decades of evidence from the CDC and AAP show the opposite. Infants face the highest risk at birth, can contract hepatitis B during delivery, and may live with lifelong liver damage without the early protections confirmed in clinical research.

Pediatricians warned that Trump’s claim put infants in danger. Vaccine specialists confronted his misinformation in expert analyses. Trump ignored them and pushed deeper into myths that scientists have already debunked in rigorous studies.

A vaccine advisory panel newly packed with RFK Jr loyalists then voted to remove the hepatitis B birth dose from the childhood schedule, a move chronicled in public health reporting. Trump followed by signing an order to restructure the entire schedule to match countries that accept more disease and lower protection thresholds, documented in the federal directive itself.

Outbreaks followed this retreat from science. Texas and New Mexico recorded measles spikes that spread rapidly through unvaccinated clusters, confirmed in state alerts and CDC surveillance. Measles can cause pneumonia, brain swelling, and death. Immunization schedules exist because decades of research show how to prevent exactly these outbreaks.

The children who suffer first are the ones with the least protection. Low income families, immigrant parents, and communities of color now face shrinking coverage and rising misinformation at the same time, a crisis tracked in Medicaid and child health research.

Coverage Shrinks and Emergencies Multiply

A ten year old girl named Aisha lives with severe asthma. Her mother works part time at minimum wage. She earns too much for many assistance programs but far too little to afford private insurance or a three hundred dollar inhaler. Medicaid filled the gap until her state tightened eligibility and buried families in paperwork. One missed deadline cut Aisha off.

Her mother rationed her own medication to keep a roof over their heads. Aisha waited until she could not breathe before using her inhaler. Patterns like this appear across states that reduced Medicaid access. In March she landed in the emergency room during a severe attack. The bill exceeded ten thousand dollars. Continuous coverage would have prevented the crisis.

Aisha does not need rare or experimental treatment. She needs an inhaler. Medicaid exists for that purpose. When leaders strip coverage, children pay the price.

Cuts Built Into the Budget

The 2025 budget removed more than eight billion dollars from Medicaid and CHIP. These programs insure roughly forty million children. Policy analysts and legal experts at Manatt Health and the Urban Institute detail how the cuts pushed states to adopt new documentation barriers and narrow eligibility rules that knocked families off coverage overnight.

Medicaid covers most children in poverty, nearly half of all births in the United States, and millions of children with disabilities and special health needs, as recorded in child welfare and health system data. Several states also removed lawfully present immigrant children from eligibility, deepening racial and economic inequities documented by immigrant health researchers.

These outcomes were not accidental. They were part of a coordinated assault on the safety net that keeps vulnerable children alive.

Families and Advocates Refuse to Look Away

Families are fighting back. In 2017, two mothers, Elena Hung and Michelle Morrison, began bringing their medically complex children into congressional offices. Reporters named them the Little Lobbyists because their children, with ventilators, wheelchairs, and feeding tubes, became the most powerful advocates in Washington. When Republicans pushed for new cuts in 2025, the Little Lobbyists returned with more families and more resolve.

More than three hundred organizations joined them. Pediatric hospitals, disability rights groups, and immigrant justice networks warned Congress that cuts would bankrupt families and force medically fragile children into institutions. Medical associations urged lawmakers to reject the cuts and protect families from catastrophic loss.

Their message is clear. Choose children over cruelty.

Where We Go From Here

Bo still loves books. Aisha still needs her inhaler. Babies born today still need the hepatitis B shot at birth. Children in foster care still need therapy, medication, and stability. These facts do not change because political leaders pretend otherwise.

Trump’s war on care targets the children least able to defend themselves. Our answer must be louder than the harm. Support the Little Lobbyists. Fight vaccine misinformation with evidence based information. Help families navigate renewals and appeals. Back the coalitions holding the line. Vote for leaders who refuse to bargain with children’s lives.

The kids are watching. And they are counting on all of us.

Women Make Movements Unbreakable

Red-State Women Are Rewriting the Story

Cable news paints resistance as a blue-city phenomenon. On the ground, women in red and purple America drive the fight.

In Washington, DC, during Trump’s militarized occupation, the women-founded Free DC organized neighborhood by neighborhood to defend their city. Their model appears in this profile outlining their plan to mobilize 25,000 residents.

Even inside the GOP, gender fractures the authoritarian front. After the Epstein files dropped, Nancy Mace and Marjorie Taylor Greene demanded transparency, creating visible MAGA women breaking ranks when sexual violence entered the conversation.

The Women Who Keep Democracy Alive

The women holding this country together don’t wait for permission. They walk kids to school under ICE surveillance. They run rapid-response channels. They pack sanctuaries for rights trainings. They ride overnight buses to protest. They register neighbors in parking lots.

Authoritarians fear women who don’t shut up because we don’t only speak. We organize. We feed families. We protect each other. We move people one conversation, one ride, one vote at a time. That’s how movements hit the 3.5 percent threshold that breaks regimes.

They fear women who don’t shut up.

So speak up, organize, and fight like hell.

We’re not done until democracy wins.
