You never know which of the actions below could be the tipping point that helps save our country!
“He’s been a master manipulator, marketer, and grifter who is a nepo baby. This idea that he’s a good businessman, but he filed for bankruptcy six times. Clearly he’s trying to bankrupt the United States for a 7th.” — Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Tex.), on Donald Trump
Rallies/Protests
Join DC Protests Against the Trump Administration, Sept. 9–16, for the We Are America March. Americans carrying a copy of the U.S. Constitution will set out on a 160-mile pilgrimage starting at Independence Hall in Philadelphia to the steps of Congress at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. Neighbors along the way are invited to join for a rally, a family picnic, a teach-in, a mile, a day, or all the way to Washington. Let’s send a strong message to the administration that communities will stand together and fight together for our democracy. For more information, click here and sign up here.

Silver Spring Progressive Action is hosting a phone bank to call Virginia voters on Monday, Sept. 15, 6:30–8 PM ET. We will be phonebanking for Abigail Spanberger for governor and a delegate for the VA House. Virginia needs to expand their 51-49 Democratic majority in the House of Delegate, and elect Abigail Spanberger governor to deliver a Democratic trifecta. This will mitigate the damages Trump has done while also trying to bring economic relief to Virginians. Whether you're a first-time caller or a seasoned pro, training will be provided. Please sign up here and let’s flip these seats!
Activate America will have phone bank opportunities for California’s Prop 50, which lets voters redraw congressional districts to counter MAGA gerrymanders in Texas and beyond. This would counterbalance the Trump takeover and give Dems a fighting chance to win the House in 2026. Republicans are spending millions of dollars and distributing disinformation about Prop 50. Please join the phone bank so we can let voters know what’s at stake. Join on Tuesdays and Wednesdays every week until the election on November 4. To find out more and to sign up, click here. Listed here are other phone banks and canvassing opportunities for Prop 50.
Join New Jersey Victory phone bank to help elect NJ Democrats on Saturdays and Sundays at noon and 2 PM ET. The governorship race is getting tighter and we must talk with voters about why we need to elect Mikie Sherrill for governor and Democrats. Training is provided. Sign up here.
Phone Bank with Promote the Vote PA and Turn PA Blue to boost voter turnout for the all important state Supreme Court seats to ensure our freedoms are protected. On Sept. 30, federal funding for the government runs out and the Republicans need Democrats’ votes to clear a filibuster and avoid a government shutdown. Call your Democratic senator and ask them to tell Chuck Schumer to fight for us and not give into voting for a bill that funds Trump’s chaos or cuts more of our health care. Contact your Democratic senator here. Script provided.
Tell your Republican senators that if they don’t agree to a bipartisan funding bill, they will own a government shutdown. Nobody wants a shutdown, but our tax dollars should go toward appropriate funding not fascism. Contact your Republican senator here. Script provided.Trump and Dr. Mehmet Oz, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, are rolling out a program that will change coverage of Medicare significantly. They will require seniors to get pre-authorization for some health care procedures, and AI will determine whether or not the procedures will get approved. Write to your MoC and demand that they stop this program. Script is included. To learn more about this outrageous program, click here.
From Free DC: Over the last week, Trump has occupied Washington, D.C., sent in the National Guard, and redirected MPD resources to harass residents and snatch and bulldoze encampments of the unhoused — not knowing where they’ll send them other than somewhere far away. Thousands have stood up to Trump and protested to Free DC to let him know that we will fight him and protect our city. House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jamie Raskin, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Robert Garcia, and Sen. Chris Van Hollen have introduced resolutions to terminate the emergency period in D.C. and end Trump's use of force. Contact your MoC and demand they vote for this bill.
Under pressure from the Trump regime, the FDA overhauled its guidance for the COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccinations were supposed to be available to Americans annually, but now it is restricted to people 65 and over and younger adults who have at least one health condition that puts them at risk for severe disease. This goes against expert advice. Learn more about the new guidelines here. Write to Congress now and demand that they override the new FDA ruling. Lives are at stake.
Ninety years ago, Social Security became law. We have contributed to it with every paycheck and rely on it so we’ll be able to retire with dignity. But now the Trump regime has made cuts to the Social Security Administration including slashing funding and firing staff which will have serious consequences, especially in Latino and Black communities. Write to Congress and demand they restore funding, rehire staff, and protect it.
From Indivisible: Call on blue state Democrats to fight fire with fire by redrawing new congressional maps. If red state Republicans rig the midterms by redrawing their maps to steal seats, blue state Dems must even the playing field by responding in kind. Use our tools to demand that Democratic governors and legislators act now. Click here for more information and to contact your governor and state legislators.
Millions of Americans have relied on Medicaid for paying medical bills and getting vital health care without going bankrupt. Seniors use Medicaid to help pay for living at a senior facility. Now the GOP Congress and the Trump regime have slashed Medicaid to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy, and now those who rely on Medicaid won’t be able to get the lifesaving health care they need. Demand Congress reverse these cuts and to restore Medicaid. Write to Congress here.
From The Workers Circle: No government law enforcement agency should conduct arrests in secret and hide behind masks to conceal their identity. Yet ICE agents have been doing exactly this, while violating constitutional requirements for due process. Democrats in Congress have introduced three bills that would stop these illegal practices, The Visible Act, The No Masks for ICE Act, and The No Secret Police Act. Please urge your members of Congress (MoC) to vote for these bills. For more information about these bills and to contact your MoC, click here.
From The Workers Circle: Tell Congress to stand up for voting rights and block any proposal that defunds our freedom to vote! Congress just released a budget bill that provides just $15 million for election administration in 2026, less than $300k per state which will heavily affect Native American communities. We’re calling on Congress to increase that funding to at least $825 million in FY26, the same level allocated in 2020, so election officials can protect our vote, upgrade infrastructure, and ensure every eligible voter can access the ballot box. To learn more and to write your members of Congress, click here.
From the ACLU: DOGE is feeding our data to unvetted AI to surveil us and consolidating our data, putting us at massive risk of cyberattacks and misuse. It's a major violation of our privacy. Send a message here to your MoC and demand they stop DOGE from invading our privacy.

See background doc here, which includes links about where to submit your comment. Here is a talking points doc to create your comment.
Tell the Smithsonian to Reject Demands to Whitewash History.
