“No f*cking way.”
-Sen. Chuck Schumer, on Trump’s plan to extend the D.C. police takeover.
TODAY!
Trump is trying to steal the 2026 election by rigging the system and changing electoral maps! He started in Texas, but he won’t stop there. We are fighting back.
Join a stop the Trump Takeover event near you today, Saturday, Aug. 16.
Use this #MessWithTexas toolkit from DemCast to tell Republicans “Enough is enough.”
From Indivisible Chicago-South Side and Blue State Defiance: Stop the GOP Gerrymander!
If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, or Washington, contact your governor and your state lawmakers to urge them to prepare to respond to any GOP gerrymandering.
”If Republicans gut fair maps, blue states can’t just sit back — it's time to fight fire with fire.”
From Rogan’s List: D.C. citizens are being denied the right to rule themselves.
“Donald Trump announced a huge rollback of home rule for Washington, D.C., announcing he is placing the city’s police force under direct federal control and [has deployed] the National Guard for regular law enforcement. This is a dangerous misuse of the military for domestic purposes that tramples on the rights of D.C. citizens, aimed at painting ‘blue’ cities as having an out-of-control crime problem — even as violent crime in Washington hits a 30-year low — and suggests that places run by people of color are incapable of governing themselves.
“This is not just D.C.’s problem, and the rest of the country needs to make our voices heard.”
Call your members of Congress and demand they block any federal funds from being used for this plan.
Urge Congress to finally make D.C. our 51st state, with language from 5Calls.
Use this toolkit from DemCast to let everyone know about Trump’s fascist takeover!
DemCast is a proud co-sponsor of an upcoming event — The Power of Numbers: Taking a Deeper Dive into the 2024 Election.
Every passing month gives us a clearer picture of the catastrophic 2024 election. One of the most important facts is that 17 million Americans who voted for Biden in 2020 did not cast a ballot in 2024. Recently, Lake Research and Way to Win did a deep survey of those voters. Join Volunteer Blue to hear Celinda Lake, Jenifer Fernandez Ancona, and Mike Podhorzer explain what the survey found, who are these voters, why they did not vote, and how we can reach them for the upcoming elections.

Indivisible SF sent us calls to action to fight Trump’s attacks on universities.
Universities vs. the Trump Regime: How Harvard is fighting back
“The Trump administration has been attacking education in this country, with cuts to the Department of Education; stripping research funds; ending affirmative action; and massive lawsuits around the universities’ support of pro-Palestinian demonstrators, trans students and faculty, and DEI. …
Now the administration is making even more attacks against Harvard, such as blocking Harvard’s enrolling international students, and attacking the university’s patents.”
Crimson Courage, Harvard’s alumni group fighting for academic freedom, shared these ideas for protecting Harvard (or your alma mater) from the Trump regime:
Sign and share this letter to the President and Fellows of Harvard University. You don’t have to be affiliated with Harvard to sign.
Contribute to Harvard’s legal defense via Crimson Courage.
Find out what is happening at your college. Is it kowtowing to Trump’s demands on cutting DEI, limiting academic freedom, collaborating with ICE, or otherwise hurting its faculty and staff? Is it, on the other hand, standing strong and resisting the Trump regime? It’s up to you as a current student, employee or alumnus: join your local alumni group, and let people know how your college is doing. You can use Invidisible National’s explainer to do so.
Indivisible Ventura shared these action steps from Robert Reich’s essay, What you can do now: A baker’s dozen of important steps to fight Trump fascism.
Protect the decent and hardworking members of your communities who are undocumented.
Protect LGBTQ+ members of your community.
Help protect officials in your community or state whom Trump and his administration are targeting for vengeance.
Participate in or organize boycotts of companies that are enabling the Trump regime — starting with Elon Musk’s X and Tesla and any companies that advertise on X or on Fox News, as well as companies like Jeff Bezos’s Washington Post and Amazon that have surrendered to Trump.
To the extent you are able, fund groups that are litigating against Trump.
Spread the truth.
Urge friends, relatives, and acquaintances to avoid Trump propaganda outlets such as Fox News, Newsmax, X, and, increasingly, Facebook and Instagram.
Push for progressive measures in your community and state.
Encourage worker action.
Organize and mobilize for upcoming elections.
Call your senators and representatives — constantly.
Keep the faith. Do not give up on America.
Beyond these, please be sure to find room in your life for joy, fun, and laughter. Do not let Trump and his darkness take you over.
