A Big Thanks to all our partners who have shared the April 5th Hands OFF! event information.
We are thrilled to announce that DemCast is a partner organization for the April 5th national mobilization event: Hands OFF!
Let’s hit the streets on April 5th, 2025, and send Musk and Trump a clear signal that we will not put up with their power grab and overreach, and tell them Hands Off! our Social Security, Medicaid, jobs, public education, and more.
Hands Off! is an all-in moment for the pro-democracy, pro-worker movement — a demand, a warning, and a rallying cry that responds to the primary reasons for our mobilization:
Trump and Musk are attempting an illegal power grab is a crisis we must stop.
Trump, Musk, and congressional Republicans are gutting services, raising prices, and racing toward slashing Medicaid, Social Security, and more.
Trump, Musk, and congressional Republicans are on this path of destruction for the benefit of their billionaire allies.

Florida elections, trans rights, and the SAVE Act: check out these Calls to Action and events from Mobilize.
Wisconsin isn’t the only state that has an important race. On April 1st, Florida has two open congressional seats and if the two Democrats, Gay Valimont and Josh Weil win these races, it puts Democrats that much closer to having a majority in the House, where we can stop Trump and Musk’s destructive power grab.

The Trump Administration has persistently attacked the transgender community. Send a clear message that they will not be bullied!
Join rallies and hear from politicians (in D.C.) and activists. The transgender community demands equity, dignity, and protection of their rights.

Join calls to stop the SAVE Act, which will make it harder for millions of people to vote but do nothing for election security. Instead the bill will negatively impact students, veterans, married women, and seniors. It is coming up for a vote in the House the week of March 31st, so it’s urgent to call voters and explain why this bill is egregious. Ask them to call their Members of Congress to demand they vote “NO.”

Climate Action Now has created an APP so we can all participate in stopping climate change.
Our planet is in crisis with climate change. Yet, the Trump administration has denied its reality by cutting funding and firing federal employees from the EPA, wiping out all information on or references to climate change from the White House website, and pulling out of the Paris Climate Accords to name a few. Here’s your chance to save the planet.
Download the Climate Action Now APP and take small, easy, climate steps to protect our planet.
The Union of Concerned Scientists wants to hear from federal workers.
The Trump Administration has laid off and fired federal workers and has cut funding from NIH, FDA, EPA, NOAA, USDA, CDC, and others. The media, Members of Congress, and others in each state district need to hear from you about how these firings have impacted your life. Your story will help others see how vital your work is to Americans and what we will lose: funding and research that save our lives.
Share your story here.
Join the Latino Freeze Movement in a boycott!
The Trump administration is freezing funding for the NIH, demanding agencies, corporations, and universities freeze their DEI programs, and freezing immigrants from legally coming into the U.S. Latino GDP in the U.S. is the 5th largest in the world and Latinos make up 20% of the U.S. population.
Find action steps here. You can make a big impact by not spending your money at certain businesses. By participating in the boycott, you will help send a clear message that the Latino Community plays an integral part in the U.S. economy.
Our friends at Indivisible Westchester are already feeling the effects of the Trump administration’s plans to gut Social Security. An office in White Plains, NY, is shutting down because of DOGE cuts, leaving countless people without nearby access to critical services.
Before any more offices are closed, let’s send a clear message: Hands off Social Security! Billionaires like Trump and Musk don’t need Social Security, so they’re trying to destroy it — stealing from the rest of us to line their pockets. We can’t let that happen. Join the fight.
