“I have no doubt that, if judges must allow the executive to act unlawfully in some circumstances, as the court concludes today, executive lawlessness will flourish, and from there, it is not difficult to predict how this all ends.” — Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson

Chris Bowers from Bowers News Media identified the setbacks Republicans are facing while trying to pass Donald Trump's "One Big, Beautiful Bill," which aims to cut Medicaid.
“Senate Majority Leader John Thune is dealing with a revolt from Republican senators concerned about the size of the Medicaid cuts, and the Senate parliamentarian ruled that roughly $250 billion of the proposed Medicaid cuts did not comply with Senate rules, making the bill's passage by July 4 ‘all but impossible.’”
Sign and send a short, pre-written letter to your U.S. senators: Reject Trump's "One Big, Beautiful Bill."
Deepak from Democracy Labs notified us that an 87-year-old disabled vet was arrested for protesting cuts to veterans’ benefits.
The Trump administration is embracing Project 2025, which slashes benefits for disabled veterans. It also cuts over 80,000 jobs from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Call your Republican reps and remind them we will not accept any cuts that harm veterans.

Protest Musk.
“In honor of Musk’s birthday [today], the #TeslaTakedown movement is holding their biggest day of action yet: #MuskMustFall. We can join protesters at galleries, showrooms, dealerships and charging stations near us here, or if we can’t make it join efforts to push state and local governments to divest their money from Musk companies.”
Attend a #MuskMustFall Global Day of Celebration event near you.

Speak out against Trump’s kidnappings.
"Every day, we hear new stories of families torn apart by Trump’s deportation machine – like Paola Clouatre, the wife of a service-disabled Marine Corps veteran who was still breastfeeding their baby. Almost all of these folks are not the public safety threats Trump claims … and far too many of them are disappearing into the system.”
We are not going to let them vanish without a trace.
