“The way we are going to defeat authoritarianism is through the ballot box.” —Marc Elias
INDIVISIBLE SF is asking us to say: Hell No to MAGA's Budget Swindle!
“Through a bewildering fog of illegal firings and agency shutdowns, appropriation bills, debt ceiling bills, reconciliation bills, unilateral tariffs, and now Trump's 2026 Budget proposal, the goals of the MAGA regime remain crystal clear:
Grant enormous tax cuts to giant corporations and the obscenely rich.
Massively increase military, police, and anti-immigrant spending.
Slash domestic spending, the social safety net, and programs that protect and benefit We the People.
Cripple and gut health, safety, environment, and consumer regulations and oversight so that corporations, institutions, and agencies can lie, cheat, steal, pollute, and discriminate with impunity.
“Budgets and appropriations are how policies are actually imposed. If enacted as written, the MAGA regime's budget bills are designed to inflict on the American people a far-right, extremist agenda that is deeply unpopular—even among many of those who voted for Trump.”
Contact your members of Congress and tell them to use all their power to oppose this budget.
From Indivisible YOLO: Tell your members of Congress to stop the kidnappings and disappearances!
“As Republicans and the Trump administration disappear people, first targeting immigrants, and now kidnapping American citizens including a 4 year old child with cancer, demand that your Member of Congress put a stop to the disappearances and imprisonments.”

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP].
I’m calling to demand [REP/SEN NAME] speak out against the Trump administration’s deportation of Venezuelan immigrants and work to ensure these individuals be given their rightful due process and bring back the victims who have already been taken.
I also ask that [REP/SEN NAME] hold the administration accountable by publicly supporting impeachment and removal of Trump and other Cabinet officials responsible for these unconstitutional acts.

Joe Katz at Rogan’s List shared ways to force a vote on stopping Medicaid and SNAP cuts.
“1 in 5 Americans count on Medicaid for health care, including 40% of our children and 60% of all nursing home residents. More than 42 million of us, including 1 in 5 kids, can put food on the table thanks to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Right now Republicans are behind closed doors working on their reconciliation bill, trying to figure out exactly how they’re going to slash them to pay for tax giveaways to billionaires – and lying to us that these programs are safe.
“House Democrats are turning up the pressure. Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-PA) has introduced a discharge petition that would force a vote on legislation blocking cuts to Medicaid and SNAP in reconciliation. They need 218 signatures to get to the floor. This is obviously unlikely to produce direct results, but it’s also a valuable opportunity to force everyone in the House on the record as to where they really stand on these crucial safety net programs and for us to continue to emphasize to our lawmakers what’s at stake for regular people in this fight.”

Indivisible FL-13 suggested using the 5 Calls tool. As their website says, "5 Calls is the easiest and most effective way for U.S. constituents to make a political impact."
Whether you are concerned about health care, civil rights, education, deportations or another issue, calling your representatives is the best way to make your voice heard. It may seem like they don't listen, but they definitely tabulate all of their calls by category so they know what concerns their constituents.
Deepak at Democracy Labs sent a post: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
“Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky has influenced generations of community organizers for decades. His tactics are just as relevant today. He explains how the have-nots can push back against billionaires and corporate greed through grassroots activism and community organizing.
Alinsky’s tactics include ‘ridicule is man’s most potent weapon’ or ‘power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.’ They offer a set of organizational practices, an approach to building power at the level of local communities. ‘Don’t talk ideology, just issues. No electoral politics. Build organizations, not movements… Focus on neighborhoods and on concrete, winnable goals.’”
DemCast is proud to partner with groups around the country for the NO KINGS National Day of Mobilization.
On June 14—Flag Day—Donald Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday. A spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isn’t staged in Washington. It rises up everywhere else.
NO KINGS is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to the increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration
