I’ve been in the trenches on social media battling against MAGA propaganda for a decade now.
Bad news: we’re still losing.
There are a variety of reasons:
It’s hard to match up against opponents who don’t have an agenda other than fomenting rage. They don’t have to be nuanced in any way because they don’t stand for anything.
Structurally, social media channels reward rage bate because it keeps people on the platform. The algorithm likes it.
The owners of social media companies are in DJT’s pocket, compounding the problem.
Foreign adversaries are pumping millions and millions of dollars into troll and bot farms.
The right wing has been recruiting and training people to parrot Trump’s talking points for the last decade.
That’s just a smattering of reasons that things aren’t going well for pro-democracy advocates online.
Time to make a dent in their dominance.

He left Thiel's Securities Firm to run for the Senate in OH. Thiel bankrolled his campaign for the Senate & vice president. Thiel also bankrolled Project 2025. Thiel & Musk grew up in apartheid South Africa. They founded PayPal together, Musk was here illegally for 7 yrs while they did it. They obviously brought investment money with them. Musk owns X, formerly Twitter. Everyone is aware Musk helped bankroll Trump's last campaign to the tune of $250 million. Not to mention his Million dollar Raffles to Trump supporters & $40 Ponzi scheme for signing up voters. Stephen Miller’s wife, Katie Miller works for Musk.
Thiel bought an Island of the coast Honduras, Musk literally has his own town in TX. They did not name it Muskville, that would have been just to delicious. Musk's company town in Texas is named Starbase, a type-C municipality formed in May 2025, primarily comprising SpaceX employees and their families near the Boca Chica launch site, functioning as both a SpaceX hub and a small community with its own governance and zoning. Another Musk-related development near Austin involves Snailbrook, housing Tesla, Boring Co., and Ad Astra Academy. One of the mothers of Musk's children, (Grimes), has declared she will die on Mars once her children & grand children do not need her anymore. These elite women do not even carry their own children to term, they use surrogates. Yet they would have you believe they are lining up to make the sacrifices necessary to travel to & reside on Mars, as though it were a trip to Dubai. We do not build cities in Antarctica or the ocean, because to do so would destroy the earth's environment & the conditions necessary for life on the rest of the planet. We are not going to Mars. We are not sending a space ship filled to the brim with females, vials of Musk's sperm, turkey basters & a few hearty grandmothers, (Vance's idea), to establish a population of
"millions" on Mars. They are suffering from illusions of grandeur, like our current president and vice president. Vance plans on inheriting our country, Project 2025 & Turning Point from Trump. Empire building is a theme for all these men and apparently none of them feel any loyalty to anything but their own grandiosity.
Trump & the current republican apparatus, use the same strategy over and over, here with local governing officials & abroad. He ignores the established elected government officials & their diplomatic channels overriding their authority and engages with some outside alternative group.
Such as Nigel Farage in the UK, ignoring Zelensky in the Ukraine & only recognizing & negotiating with Putin, trying to influence public policy in Greenland & routinely ignores our duly elected government representatives in the cities & states here in the USA, with tactics comparable to a house invasion or car jacking.
Trump's need to ink, "Kilroy was Here" on everything. Like a dog lifting his leg marking his territory with his scent. So visceral and primitive. Like the bully on the playground, with his sycophants, demanding all the marbles, everyone else stands around looking at the ground. The music stops.
A football game where the police show up & arrest any member of the opposition who dared to pick up the football. Only his team can run up & down the field. It is illegal for the opposing team to attempt to participate in the game. They are just there as props to be humiliated by him & his cronies, uhh I mean teammates. They wait for him at the goal line, heslowly lumbers into the stadium, toilet paper stuck to his shoe, they direct him to the goal line, he asks which side he should stand on, he steps across the line, someone hands him the football, he lifts it into the air, they play a sound track of the crowds roaring, he hands the football back to one of his aides, uhh I mean team members, they hand him a warmed damp towel to wipe off his hands, he pirouettes & waves to the crowd, then turns & walks off the field to return to his limo, the opposing team is escorted off the field.
