Mercedes workers in ALABAMA are starting their union vote today, on the heels of a huge win for UAW at Tennessee’s Volkswagen plant in April.
President Biden has allied himself closely with the UAW, and with labor unions generally. They are endorsing him in impressive numbers:
Here, we have the convergence of two messaging imperatives for our movement and the 2024 election:
Amplify workers, who are fighting harder than they have in decades to reignite the labor movement, and contrast their efforts with the stock-buybacks and obscene wealth of corporations and the billionaire overlords.
Frame Biden as the pro-worker President that he is. #UnionJoe is a good image for POTUS, as the labor movement has over 70% favorability from Americans right now.
