Our next briefing is an important one. As we head into the second Trump Administration the future of our democracy is at stake and the effectiveness (or ineffectiveness) of the opposition party will be highly consequential.

Ken Martin is running for DNC Chair. Ken Martin is a lifelong Democrat with a proven track record of success. As Chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party, President of the Association of State Democratic Committees, and Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee, Ken has dedicated his career to fighting for working families and building a stronger Democratic Party.
Malcolm Kenyatta is running for DNC Vice Chair. Representative Kenyatta, a North Philadelphia native, thought leader, and legislator, currently serves in the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Kenyatta has been a key leader in protecting voting rights, expanding worker protections, enacting common-sense gun safety policies, and rooting out government corruption and waste.
Reyna Walters-Morgan is running for DNC Vice Chair for Civic Engagement and Voter Participation. Reyna Walters-Morgan is a Brooklyn-born and North Carolina-raised voting rights advocate and proud alumna of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Howard University School of Law. Reyna started her voting rights advocacy work in college at Chapel Hill, where she was the first woman of color and the second woman ever elected Student Body President.
Shasti Conrad is running for DNC Vice Chair. Shasti is the first woman of color and youngest Chair of the Washington State Democrats! As Chair, she made fundraising history at the organization by raising nearly $9 million in her first term. She is also the first South Asian woman to lead a state party in the entire country!
Marilyn Davis is running for DNC Secretary. Davis served in the Obama/Biden Administration as a political appointee at the U.S. Department of Labor where she worked under the leadership of Secretary Thomas E. Perez. Davis has also served as chief of staff to Congresswoman Karen Bass (CA-37), and deputy commissioner of labor and deputy chief of staff under former Governor Jon Corzine (D-NJ). Additionally, Davis has worked as a national political representative for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees and on numerous presidential, gubernatorial, state and local campaigns.
