I talked to a number of Michigan organizers and attendees who said they knew Republicans who were joining the rallies on Saturday. They were fed up. One was in a Livingston Co. town known in the past as the heart of KKK, Aryan Nations, and militia activity for decades. It had 2000 people show up for No Kings 2.0. Across Northern MI and the UP, towns big and small held events and most increased their participation over the June No Kings.
We may be experiencing a tipping point with this regime, where pure MAGAs stand tight with Trump, but old school Republicans become uncomfortable and open to action, even if they may never become Democrats. That's okay for now. We can seize the moment to welcome ALL who are ready to stand against this administration. We will need all the help we can get to right this ship!
I was at two different protests in Collin Country you mentioned. They were timed just right to get to both! Everyone was LOUDLY calm and peaceful! Had my best friend who barked as loud as a Pomeranian can! It was a very RAINY and EXCITING day. Haven’t protested since the Vietnam days and loved it.
So proud of our people going out and protest against the Trump Regime, Maga Republicans and corrupted Supreme court that gave me hope we the people can fix this before it's too late!
Red, red OKC showed up in large, and loud, numbers. A whole parking garage right next to the courthouse where we rallied was literally CLOSED for the day, pieces of crap. And someone had some kind of siren going during the whole event. It did not dampen our spirits, nor did the rain that fell the whole time. Democracy speaks louder than hate, bitches. Everyone has to educate their House and Senate representatives about Trump raping women and children. Everyone has to educate them that Trump is doing everything in his power to cover that up. Almost everyone in Trump’s network has previously helped him cover up his crimes against women and children. Call, write letters and emails to your representatives.
There are a few representatives that don't know how evil/corrupt Trump and his network actually are. Almost all of the republicans know. They are just such lowlifes that they are more worried about losing their jobs than doing the right thing.
