They suppress. We organize. Join the national Good Trouble Weekend of Action, July 17-19, and carry John Lewis’s legacy into November.
Good trouble starts with staying informed. Subscribe free or paid and never miss a dispatch from the front lines.
They raided a voting rights office in Ohio. They gutted the Voting Rights Act. They drew racist maps designed to silence Black and Brown voters.
And we are still here. Louder. More organized. Absolutely unbothered by their fear of us.
Good Trouble Lives On. Literally.
This is not a memorial. This is a mobilization.
July 17-19, communities across the country gather for the Good Trouble Lives On Weekend of Action, six years after we lost John Lewis and right in the middle of one of the most consequential fights for voting rights since 1965.
The theme: Teach. Reach. Preach. Three words. Three days. One unbreakable truth: if our vote didn’t matter, they wouldn’t work this hard to take it away.
Your Three Days of Good Trouble
Friday, July 17, you teach. Know-your-rights trainings, town halls, civic education hubs. New documentation requirements are hitting voters this November, and your neighbors need to know what to bring to the polls.
Saturday, July 18, you reach. Knock doors. Run a registration drive. Join a votercade, a rolling get-out-the-vote caravan, and bring someone into this movement who thought no one was coming.
Sunday, July 19, you preach. Faith communities across every tradition dedicate at least five minutes to John Lewis’s memory and the moral imperative to vote. Five minutes to say: we remember, and we refuse to stop.
Start the Storm Today
Right now, today at 2 PM ET, we are running a social storm to flood the timeline with Good Trouble energy. Here is how you join:
Post, share, and amplify using our digital toolkit and bring your people in.
Can’t make 2 PM? The toolkit is yours anytime. Share it tonight. Share it tomorrow. Keep the drumbeat going straight through July 19.
John Lewis Loved This Work
He did not merely endure organizing. He loved it. The knocking, the teaching, the showing up for strangers, the insistence that every single person deserved a full say in the country they lived in.
That love is contagious. It always has been.
One vote. One door. One conversation at a time, you carry it forward.
Share this post. Join the storm. Make good trouble July 17-19.
