We're Storming Social Media NOW as the Florida Abortion Ban Takes Effect.
Thousands of digital activists are jumping in. Will you? Here's your TOOLKIT!
At 12:01am Eastern Time on Wednesday morning (Tuesday night for the other US time zones), thousands of social media users started posting with the hashtag #TrumpsFloridaAbortionBan.
Search the hashtag here on Twitter.
Our goal is to make sure Americans know that these near-total bans happening in red states were made possible because Trump packed the Supreme Court with anti-choice Justices, who overturned Roe.
Which he brags about.
It’s his fault.

Guidance
The following guidance was shared by the Florida Women’s Freedom Coalition:
This is a:
Near-total ban (accurate and more compelling than saying “six weeks”)
Before many women even realize they are pregnant
That doesn’t have any real exceptions
If we are pressed on (3), we should say: Those so-called “exceptions” are meaningless. They require patients to jump through legal, procedural, and logistical hurdles on a timeframe that, for most, is impossible. We can also add that the ban is strongly opposed by majorities of Floridians across party lines.
Other points:
Avoid “choice”. Use “decision”.
For example: Extremist politicians have enacted a near-total abortion ban. Decisions about abortion belong with a patient, her family and her doctor, not the government.
Use the words “freedom/free” and “patients”.
For example: A patient shouldn’t be forced to become septic before her doctor can act. Doctors should be free to help their patients.
