I don’t know about y’all… but I don’t want to wake up on November 4, see Trump trying to throw out an election result, and spend the day figuring out where to go or how to help.
I want to be ready.
Luckily, we can all sign the No Kings commitment now to host or attend a peaceful action in our communities if a national rapid response mobilization is called.

We all have plenty to do between now and November 3. We have to vote, help others vote, make calls, knock doors...
But unfortunately, as maddening as it is, we also have to prepare for what comes after.
We watched Trump try to overturn an election he lost in 2020. We watched him pressure election officials, push lies about fraud, and try to stay in power after voters told him to leave.
I’m not willing to assume he’ll respect the results this time, especially with control of Congress at stake. I mean, we know he’ll try everything in his power to deny or fix the results. Right?
And I don’t want us scrambling to find each other when he tries to Trumpify this one.
That’s why I’m asking you to sign up before Election Day. If we need to mobilize on November 4 or in the days that follow, we’ll need a way to reach people quickly. You’ll need to know where you can show up. Local organizers will need people who are ready to help.
To be clear: a count that takes time is not evidence of wrongdoing. Election workers need to be able to do their jobs, count valid ballots, and report accurate results without threats or political interference.
If Trump or his allies try to stop that process or overturn the outcome, we need to be prepared to respond peacefully and in large numbers.
I hope we won’t need an emergency mobilization. I’d love to spend November 4 celebrating and catching up on sleep. We all would!
But after everything we’ve seen, preparation is part of the work.

Let’s get through these last days of voting with everything we’ve got, and be ready to defend the results.
