I don't understand how any of the members of the Democratic Party in Congress can support this. The international rightwing movement in all its various nationalist iterations have nonprofits in their cross hairs. We must do everything we can to protect them.

I think there was something else in the bill the first time that some Dems didn’t want to be seen voting against. But yes. I agree.

Personally, as a Trans Person, “Termination of tax-exempt status of terrorist supporting organizations.”, fits the description of many Christian Organizations to include The Church. And, might I add, several incoming Government Officials.

I don’t care what anybody says, policing where a grown adult may or may not use the bathroom, and forcing a person to dress and behave a certain way, looks like terrorism to me, especially when under duress, distress, or experiencing acts of terror, whether commuted by foreign peoples or US Citizens and Government Officials.

Holy fuck!!! It’s unconscionable that this bill passed out of the House. It must have been some uniformed reps or something, right? Please tell me that’s the case. I mean if some Dem reps in liberal areas were initially yes votes until they were called by constituents that seems to indicate someone was asleep at the wheel. How could they not know this was an arrow pointed at them?
