How does Act Blue use the money that's donated? I ask because I donate through them every month. If all of my money is not going to the candidates, I want to know.

ActBlue definitely serves a purpose. Their business model is just different. They peel a small percentage off every transaction to fund their operation. The vast bulk of your donation goes to the intended target. Every politician and group who sets up an account in ActBlue knows that’s the deal.

Oath, on the other hand, relies on tips from donors. It’s just a bit more of a transparent business model to do it that way which is why I like it.

That said, I don’t fault ActBlue for how they set things up. They have to fund their operations somehow…

Thank you for your response. I don't blame them for using a small amount, but I wish they were more transparent about it.

The courts are democracy's Achilles Heel. They're vital to our survival but get little attention. We can work to fix that!

Excellent. You’re absolutely right that we’re in this position because we’ve slept on critical state positions for years. The people need good leaders and that’s not going to happen until we get involved.
